A promise

Student Success Statement
"A promise must never be broken."
-Alexander Hamilton

Reflection: I think this quote means that we shouldn't break any promises that we make no matter what. For example, if you promise that you will never use drugs, don't break it. If you don't break a promise, then that makes you a good person. If you break the promise, then your not a good person and your not reliable. Goodness
Student Success Statement

"Goodness is the only investment that never falls."
Henry David Thoreau

Reflection: I think this quote means that goodness is never a bad thing to do. Being good towards others is always going to be a thing that is appreciated by others. Goodness never gets someone in any trouble. For example, donating to others or helping them is an act of goodness. Doing bad things is what gets you in big trouble. For example, if you commit a murder or robbery, you can go to prison and face consequences. Also, if you do bad things, people would never appreciate you for what you do. I also went to my friends Andrea's party. It was so fun and I got to see my other friends. I also got to meet my Uncle's friend since they came to visit. He's a nice man. -Abraham Lincoln

That is being true and you will become a trustworthy person. I also think this quote means if you know someone that is always true, become friends with them, because people who aren't true, aren't good people.
